QUICKIE

1 small can tomato paste (see variation)

¼ cup brown sugar

¼ cup water

2 tbsp. Ancestral vinegar

¼ tsp. dry mustard

¼ tsp. cinnamon

1 pinch ground cloves

Mix well and refrigerate up to 1 month.

Variation:              

Boil 4 fresh tomatoes for 30 seconds to remove skin. Remove water. Mix ingredients in food processor and refrigerate.

 


 

 

HOME STYLE

 

20 green tomatoes

10 onions

1/3 cup salt

6 cucumbers, peeled

1 cauliflower

4 red peppers

5 cups Ancestral vinegar

2 cups water

3 cups sugar

4 tbsp. pickling spices in a pouch

Chop tomatoes, add salt and let stand for 12 hours.

Chop cucumbers, onions, cauliflower and seeded peppers.

Place all of the ingredients in a saucepan and slowly bring to a boil.

Let cook until vegetables become tender.

Remove pouch and seal in sterilized jars.
